The successful candidate will join the growing team of Electrify America, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group of America leading the implementation of the $2B Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Investment Plan. Electrify America is tasked with creating and facilitating a highly visible, reliable, interoperable and driver-oriented Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure network to support the increased adoption of Electric Vehicles in California and the rest of the United States. It will create the “Gas Stations of the Future” by investing in a range of current and future charging technologies that will provide ubiquitous access to EV drivers along highways, in metro areas, at multi-unit dwells, at workplaces and in ridesharing programs. Electrify America will also invest in initiatives to increase the awareness and education of driving electric and will support a number of strategic ‘Green Cities’ programs in California. Through its programs, Electrify America’s investment will enable millions of Americans to discover the benefits of driving electric.
Specific priorities will be cultivating and managing key relationships with utilities, OEMs and government agencies and other NGOs engaged in clean air, energy and EV adoption. These relationships are intended to mutually identify new charging infrastructure investment priorities, strategic planning precision and – ultimately – highly utilized charging sites by EV drivers that is also leverage by other OEMs. All efforts need to generate charging infrastructure investment opportunities and priorities for the site planning & acquisition team, as well as operations group to further validate and implement. OEM relationships will further improve business case and EV driver network usage.
This candidate will regularly interact with other team leaders, directors and executive leadership. Coordinates and directs the activities of partnership team members and ensures all work is documented and metrics tracked. Of critical importance, the successful candidate will possess strong communication, collaboration skills and charisma to overcome natural business obstacles to creating consensus and value chains that bring together diverse stakeholders.
