Position: Manager, Energy Storage – Technology Strategy & Procurement

EDF Renewables is seeking an exceptional initiative-taker and problem-solver to manage the evaluation, procurement, and deployment of Energy Storage Solution (ESS) technologies (including batteries, inverters, and control systems) for its power plants. This strategic position will work closely with the VP of Solar and Storage Technology to research the market and make recommendations as to which ESS technologies should be deployed based on a levelized cost of energy (LCOE), propose strategic business structures & partnerships to enhance the company’s competitive advantages, help develop product specifications and standards, negotiate supply contracts that mitigate the risk and minimize the cost of deploying these components, and implement the terms and conditions of the supply contracts. Public Policy Director - California Regulatory
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Public Policy to join our fast-paced team. The Director will be at the cutting edge of customer-sited clean energy policy nationwide, working in the nation’s largest clean energy market. The role will span from exercising thought leadership by advocating for big picture future policy frameworks to diving deep into detailed regulatory tariffs and rules. The Director will be responsible for advocating for the company’s policy and regulatory positions in California, and seeking market development opportunities through policy initiatives. The role will develop and manage regulatory policy and advocacy strategy, stay on top of relevant state agency developments, and support Sunrun’s advocacy activities in California. The Director will report to the Vice President of Public Policy.
The position is based in San Francisco, and will require occasional travel. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with or for the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and preferably experience with some of the other relevant bodies including the California ISO, California Energy Commission, California investor-owned utilities, Community Choice Aggregators, and municipal utilities. The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical skills, be independent, well organized, self-directed, and a team player who effectively manages the demands of multiple projects. Director of Campaigns and Advocacy
We are seeking a Director of Campaigns and Advocacy to join our fast-paced team, which advocates for preserving and expanding access to home solar and storage across the country. The Director will be at the cutting edge of solar policy progress nationwide, working across multiple markets and jurisdictions and ensuring that Sunrun’s policy leadership reflects its position as the country’s largest home solar and storage provider.
Sunrun’s policy team takes a multidimensional approach to communications and advocacy that resembles a campaign, combining traditional media outreach, social media, organizing solar advocates, engaging with groups and stakeholders, and supporting leaders who are solar champions. The Director will oversee a team that is responsible for making sure Sunrun’s voice is heard in advancing pro-home solar and battery storage policies in our market states as well as at the federal level.
The Director will report to Sunrun’s Chief Policy Officer. A Senior Manager will report directly to the Director, managing team members’ day-to-day advocacy work and media relations, allowing the Director to focus on messaging, strategy, building Sunrun’s profile as a policy and industry leader, and crafting campaigns designed to institutionalize home solar and storage as the future of energy.
The position is based in San Francisco with some travel required.
