About the role
Our Data Ops team needs tools to streamline their workflow, ensure the accuracy of our data, and explore new ways to use our data and our APIs. You should be a generalist: a flexible, practical coder, able to quickly diagnose problems and fix bugs, but also willing to step back and think more deeply about how people use the tools they have. What are the underlying problems they are trying to address? Can we solve them in a different, more elegant, more efficient way?
About the role
You'll help develop elegant APIs and sophisticated cost optimization algorithms that save customers money and promote better energy use. You'll architect, design and build a new generation of web apps, and the back end worker processes to drive them. You should be flexible and able to work with different teams and technologies as needed.
About the role
We recently released our Intelligent Baselining feature, which allows solar companies to estimate customer electricity usage (and therefore probable solar savings) based on just one monthly bill. We have more work to do to increase the accuracy, of both estimated current electricity usage and extrapolated future usage, and to calculate and communicate error ranges.
As part of our experienced, interdisciplinary Data Engineering team, you will explore new ways to use the large amount of data we already have, as well as determine what new sources of data we should pursue. You will build models, test them against real-world scenarios, and iteratively refine the models to ensure that our predictions are as accurate as possible.
You should have a strong background in data analysis and statistics as well as the ability to code in such languages as R or Python, and be able to build and test models using Excel.
About the role
The job of the Customer Implementation Software Engineer at Genability is to get customers into production as quickly as possible. Starting as soon as a contract is signed (and sometimes before), you will serve as the technical lead on API integration. Whatever is on the path from signed contract to a production release, you will be responsible for.
Because you’ll be spending lots of time on the front lines helping our new customers build their products, some customer-facing consulting experience is required. You should also have some general software engineering experience. We are especially interested if you have Java and Apex (Salesforce) experience.
Previous experience in energy or cleantech is not required; the ability to learn quickly is.
About the roleLooking for a new challenge? Ready to take on a large chunk of product responsibility and work with a talented team to build a great company?
You'll help develop elegant APIs and sophisticated cost optimization algorithms that save customers money and promote better energy use. You'll architect, design and build the backend code that drives our APIs and Verify, our web-based tool for helping solar customers understand their savings, and you'll help us scale up our calculation engine and infrastructure. You should be flexible and able to work with different teams and technologies as needed.
About the role
You'll help us stay on top of our infrastructure (AWS) needs, make development and testing easier and faster, and improve our logging and monitoring so that we can anticipate and fix problems before our customers have them. You’ll work with our developers to design the next generation of our data storage system and calculation engine.
You should be comfortable writing Bash and Python scripts as needed. You should have experience maintaining high availability of a web service as its usage scaled exponentially.
