Station A is seeking a professional passionate about clean energy to help manage the business development and commercial operations as we scale our business.
They will be responsible for:
● Developing and managing commercial relationships with the following market segments: o Clean energy project developers o Clean energy technology providers o Energy users (building owners and managers) o Utilities o Clean energy project capital providers
● Structuring and negotiating commercial agreements, including software subscriptions, success-based agreements, and measurement and verification agreements
● Helping to build and develop a commercial strategy, including sales, pricing, and marketing strategies to acquire platform users and customers across the segments above
● Working with the technical teams to prioritize development and identify business requirements for product functionality
● Representing Station A at conferences, tradeshows, events, and other engagements

Position: Vice President of Business Development
Location: San Francisco
This individual will be responsible for helping drive the growth of Metrus’ energy and water efficiency deals and pipeline. This position has the dual responsibility of overseeing the expansion of Metrus’ business development team while actively generating sales of new projects. This individual will recruitchannel partners as well as generate increased volume from the company’s existing energy services company (ESCO) and contractor partners. The individual will implement and oversee targeted direct sales efforts to multi-site industrial, commercial and institutional customers.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is able to actively engage key partners from day one while maintaining a relentless focus on closing deals with commercial, industrial and institutional clients. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding business development targets in the energy efficiency, renewable energy, retail energy or other relevant industries. The position calls for an individual who can thrive in a results and performance-based start-up and who can demonstrate strategic critical thinking and commitment to Metrus’ mission of scaling efficiency retrofits in the built environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
The individual’s responsibilities will include:
• Developing and closing energy and water efficiency deals
• Expanding the base of channel partner relationships with ESCOs, energy contractors and other new promising channels
• Managing and implementing go-to-market strategies that efficiently allocate resources to best
accelerate the pipeline and execution of profitable projects
•Identifying changes to Metrus business practices and capabilities and new business opportunities that allow the company to accelerate pipeline growth, project closings, and project profitability
• Preparing and presenting project proposals that articulate Metrus’ value proposition to all levels
of customer and channel partner organizations, including executive/board-level professionals
• Building out existing infrastructure and systems to support the success of Metrus’ sales team
Experience & Qualifications
The individual’s qualifications are expected to include a proven track record of selling complex products and exceeding business development targets. A demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with channel partners, customers and other key market participants is a must. The successful individual will also need to demonstrate:
• Exceptional communication, writing and customer service skills and experience
• Ability to powerfully present to executive-level professionals
• Experience selling energy products to commercial and industrial customers is highly desired,

Position: Digital Engagement Manager
Vote Solar is a non-profit organization with the mission of making solar more accessible and affordable across the United States. Our high-impact team is in search of a Digital Engagement Manager to help us reach, cultivate and engage more people in clean energy policy advocacy at this critical time.
The Digital Engagement Manager will report to the Director of External Relations as part of the Communication team, working in close collaboration with the Development and Campaign teams. The Digital Engagement Manager will be responsible for implementing and improving Vote Solar’s digital communications programs to help us achieve our online fundraising goals and expand and diversify our grassroots advocacy capacity.
Areas of Responsibility:
● Work with the development team to manage and implement an online fundraising strategy, which includes: donor database management and segmentation, online donor recruitment, cultivation and retention, growing a monthly donor program, regular targeted stewardship communications and an end of year giving drive.
● Work with the campaign team to develop and implement email, social media and grassroots engagement strategies and integrate them with offline advocacy opportunities to advance our policy advocacy goals.
● Create visually compelling digital content through excellent writing, photo selection and brand implementation, with a specific focus on audience engagement. Continually assess, improve and share learning from message testing and other data-driven tests to improve both online and offline communications efficacy.
● Plan and run experiments to test new mobile tools and other innovative channels for engaging new target constituencies.
● Assist with graphic design for offline engagement as capacity allows.
● Comply with restricted funding requirements of Vote Solar’s c3 and c4 affiliates.
● Meet performance metrics associated with total reach, conversion rates, donor retention and donations received.
● Provide best in class customer service for those responding to outreach with questions, account updates or comments.
The Successful Candidate Must Have:
● Three to five years of digital organizing or fundraising experience or a demonstrated track record that matches this experience.
● Experience developing and executing a multi-channel digital communications plan, ideally for advocacy purposes.
● Appreciation for data insights and systems-based donor management.
● Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload and handle several tasks simultaneously.
● Ability to learn and communicate about complex energy policy.
● Ability to manage work effectively across multiple teams in multiple locations.

● Track record of success with online fundraising programs or other non-profit development experience.

The Distributed Energy Policy Advocate/Staff Attorney will:
● Research, draft, edit, and file comments, testimony, motions, and other documents with public utilities commissions and other decision makers, with supervision.
● Develop policy proposals to expand the use of local renewable energy and other distributed energy resources (DER), as well as advance grid modernization efforts.
● Draft white papers and develop presentations to move thought leaders and decision makers to address key needs.

The Communications and Marketing Manager’s Role:
